Camp Activities

Located in the beautiful California Sierra, just 30 minutes from Yosemite National Park entrance, Camp Tuolumne Trails offers a spectacular array of activities.

All activities are designed for serious kid-style fun while helping campers develop independence, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Campers also enhance their social skills, self-confidence and self-esteem through new skills and accomplishments. 

Tuolumne Trails -- where children with serious medical conditions can rediscover their childhood and enjoy life’s simple pleasures in a beautiful outdoor setting.

Each sponsoring organization will develop the program that best suits their participants. Of course, camper safety and fun are always the top priorities – in the pool, on the playing field, or in the arts and crafts center.

Here are some of the possible camp activities, depending on each group’s needs and interests:

Handicap Acvcessbile Pool Large ramped swimming pool, with access for wheelchairs, makes the pool a highlight for kids of all abilities
Grass Playing Field Grass playing field for all types of games and just hanging out
hiking th Hiking / Wheeling and nature walks
Display of Arrowheads Visits to Indian historic sites
Fishing in the pond Fishing and frog chasing in the camp pond
Campfire Area A large campfire area for meetings, talent shows, plays, sing-alongs, s'mores, and ghost stories
Crafts Arts and crafts center with lots of room for group activities or individual projects
Kids Archery Archery with targets at different heights and distances for all abilities
Hayride Old-fashioned hayrides and picnics
Child Gazing At Stars Late night star-gazing and astronomy lessons
Kids playing bocce ball Accessible Bocce Ball Area
